D4w1

A run with the tornados turned into an evening with a few margaritas and salsa dancing. Although, I don't salsa, it was still a good time.
The run at memorial was 2miles warm up, 3.5 tempo (6:32 pace) and 1 mile cooldown.
Total miles 6.5. Not as many as I would have liked but it'll work. Still going to have to ramp it up for Boston.

Day 3, week 1

Today I ran from the hotel. This was a quite interesting route. I ended up in a part of Houston where; I believe it is safe to say that not many white guys go for an afternoon run. I'll expnad on that and say not many people run whatsoever unless chasing or being chased. I on the other hand pressed on and got the run in. I didn't feel like I was in danger and it was good to see another part of town. Miles = 8, avg pace 7:45.

Finding a running group in Boston isn't going to be as easy as I thought. Aparently you need to run a 2:50 or better to even be able to keep up during group runs or track workout. Time to step up my game I guess.

Let the training begin...

Yesterday ran 7.5mi. Decided to change the venue. Ran at Herman park at 2.5 miles I felt like I was going to fall apart but pushed on and felt much better by mile 3. Got soaked and thought I was going to get sucked up into oblivion during the strom during the last 1.5 miles.
Running is very strange like that sometimes.
Today, met the tordado's at memorial for a 5 mile warmup, then 8, 2 min (5k pace) intervals with 1 mile cool down at the end. Total distance = 9.5 miles. This week begins the first week of my training for my BQ time on the fall. Here we go. I am planning to get in 60 miles this week

Day one

Today I begin training for a BQ in the fall and to break 3hrs in 2010.
